Kolkata, Sep 15: Three males, belonging to a gaggle of banjaras, had been arrested for allegedly stealing a number of valuables, together with gold and silver jewelry, from many homes in numerous elements of Kolkata, police stated on Tuesday. The arrests had been made on the premise of complaints lodged by residents of Entally, Narkeldanga and Phoolbagan, they stated.

Sleuths of the Anti-Housebreaking Squad of the Kolkata Police’s Detective Division discovered involvement of a male beggar with youngsters and so they led the officers to the group of banjaras, the brains behind the crimes, police stated. “Throughout the investigation, we discovered that the group of banjaras was briefly staying within the Sealdah station complicated adjoining to the Entally police station space. We performed a raid on September 11 evening and arrested the three males,” a senior officer stated.
